Blizzard has recently been in the spotlight
"We recognize that actions speak more than words, which is why we"re challenging ourselves to draw on different voices inside and outside the organization WoTLK Gold and to create more diverse characters and content," Morhaime said in reply to a well-written critique from an anonymous fan who goes under the name of starcunning. "We are also constantly reviewing the story development process along with other methods to make sure that our values are reflected in every aspect. Our belief has always been that lasting, positive changes are the result of examination of discussion and further repetition, and this is true to both story and to gameplay. There"s no reason why inclusion should be at the cost of a fantastic gaming experience."
"This is an ongoing process for us. It"s expected that we"ll stumble time and time again However, we"ll keep listening and learn and develop" Mike Morhaime
Morhaime says, "There have been times where we"ve been portrayed or depicted as not interested in listening to feedback or making adjustments. I"d like to emphasize that this is against the core beliefs and philosophies that Blizzard was founded and continues to be run. We are always listening to you, and will be striving to create games that are appealing to as many players as we can."
He also made the point that Blizzard is always willing to hear feedback from customers and open to discussions that will help the company grow. He acknowledged that there could be some rough times ahead. "This will be a continuous process for us, and it"s inevitable that we"ll make mistakes later on," he said. "But we"ll continue to learn, listen and grow. We are very concerned about your opinions and what you get from our games and we"re dedicated to expressing our values and beliefs in our writing and actions."
Blizzard has recently been in the spotlight over the issue of diversity. Heroes of the Storm developer Dustin Browder, in response to a query about the ways in which certain videos "sex the" the female character, stated, "We"re not running for president." Browder apologized and said that "This is a very serious issue and I do not want anyone to buy WoTLK Classic Gold believe that I, or anyone other employee at Blizzard is not sensitive to the way we depict the characters we create."
